Pasaje Begoña

Asociación Pasaje Begoña researches, protects and spreads the LGTBI historical memory centred on Pasaje Begoña, the Torremolinos alley recognised by unanimous vote of the Spanish Congress and the Andalusian Parliament as the 'Cradle of LGTBI Rights and Freedoms' in Spain. In the 1960s the passage became a sanctuary for the LGBTQ+ community and hosted some of the country's first gay bars; the association runs cultural, educational and remembrance projects to keep that legacy visible.
